Church, School and Community Movie Nights in Jamaica
Of all the ways outdoor cinema gets used here, this is the most underused and probably the best suited.
Why it works for groups
It suits every age at once. That's genuinely rare. Most group activities work for children or for adults. A film outdoors with comfortable seating works for a seven year old, their parents and their grandmother at the same time.
It doesn't disturb anybody. Every guest wears silent headphones, so a screening on a church lawn or school field makes no noise for the surrounding community. A youth night running till 10pm doesn't become a neighbourhood issue.
It's unusual enough to pull people in. For a fundraiser that matters. People will buy a ticket for something they haven't done before.
It asks very little of you. We build it, run it, and take it away. Your volunteers aren't spending the evening wrestling with equipment.
Churches

Youth nights. The most common request we get. A film, popcorn, and a group of young people outdoors on church property.
Family fun days. An evening screening closes out a daytime event nicely and keeps families on site instead of losing them by mid afternoon.
Anniversary and harvest events. The screen can run congregation photos, testimony videos or old footage before the feature.
Outreach. A free community screening on church grounds is a low barrier invitation. Nobody has to explain themselves to attend a film.
Schools
Fundraisers. Sell tickets to a movie night on the school field. The novelty does the selling for you.
End of term and prize giving. An evening screening after an awards ceremony rewards students rather than dragging out the formal part.
PTA family evenings. Parents show up to things their children want to attend.
Graduation celebrations. Especially for exit years, it gives a whole cohort a shared night that doesn't involve a club.
Community groups
Neighbourhood association nights. The silent format means a screening can run in a dense residential area without complaints.
Sports club and team celebrations. End of season nights families can come to.
Gated community events. Common grounds are usually well suited. Level, accessible, power available.
What you need
Same as any booking. Reasonably level ground, one working power point, internet, and tables and chairs if there's food. We lay flooring over the seating area, so a paved car park or a rough field both work fine.
If the setup area is only reachable by stairs, tell us in advance.
The cost
Setup is $30,000 flat. Then $3,000 per guest, minimum 10 guests.
So a 30 person youth night is $120,000. A 50 person community screening is $180,000.
If you're running events regularly, a termly school calendar or a monthly youth programme, ask about a retainer. We do three, six and twelve event arrangements with better rates at each tier.
If you're ticketing it
Work backwards. Take the total cost, divide by realistic attendance, set the ticket above that. Confirm your numbers before you commit rather than hoping attendance covers it.
We'll give you a written quote with a fixed total so you can plan against a real figure.
Let's sort your event out
Here's all we need from you to get started: your date, roughly how many people, and where you are. That's enough for us to send you a written quote with a real number on it, no back and forth, no "call us for pricing."
WhatsApp us: 876-863-2451 Email us: booknow@dinexja.com Or build it yourself: put your event together on our booking page and see the total right away. No form, no obligation.
We set up anywhere in Jamaica.
